On Mar 12th we received this message from Shaun T. He found a GoPro!:

I was up skiing and found your GoPro.  You have unique marks on it to identify it as yours.

This is a picture you took of your friends:

Let me know so I can get your camera back to you.  I wasn’t sure if I should trust the lost-n-found.
Shaun T.”

If you think that this might be yours, please send us a message with as many details as possible: What were you wearing when the camera was lost (colours), what were you doing, etc…. We’ll pass it to Shaun!

Received Message from Shaun received yesterday (May 30th 2014)

Good news, Guillaume!  I talked to Nick and it is his GoPro!  The GoPro had silver “X”s on it and he was able to identify that as well as provide other pictures of his friends.
I was able to ship it back to him and he received it.
This was my last message from him:
“My camera showed up on my front doorstep last night. Thank you again very much. I never thought something like this could happen. My family and I will be in Seattle middle July to ride the Seattle to Portland bike ride. If interested I would love to meet you, shake your hand and buy you a beer. Thanks again for everything. Nick”
The Internet Won this round!
Thank you for your website and your desire to connect owners with their lost GoPros!  It is a very needed service!

Another SUCCESS STORY for TheLostGoPro.com Community! (from Venice, CA, USA to Germany)

Hi!
I can’t resist sharing with you this success story written by Nicolas B. from Germany who lost his GoPro Camera in Venice Beach (CA, USA) as per this post:
http://thelostgopro.com/2013/10/12/lost-on-the-shore-of-venice-beach-los-angeles-ca-usa-on-2013-10-05/
“On 5 October, I lost in the waves of Venice Beach my GoPro camera. Previously, I was on a 22 days road trip across the U.S. with two friends. More than 200 videos and over 1000 photos were now lost.
Back in Germany, I found in the Facebook group „The Lost GoPro”. I tried my luck and wrote a little description.
2 weeks after losing my camera, someone wrote that he had found a camera on Venice Beach and wait for a photo for identification.
Full of anticipation, I sent him a photo of the first days of our road trip.
A day later, the confirmation came. Tom from Venice Beach had actually found my camera on the wet sand near the breakwater rocks, on the south side.
8 November was my lucky day. After a short visit at the customs authorities in my hometown I got my GoPro camera, including all photos and videos.
Many, many thanks to the owner of the Facebook group and website TheLostGoPro.com Guillaume (aka Mr. G.) and of course to Chris and Tom W. for the recovery and return of my camera.
Thank you – Nicolas from Germany –
