On Nov 20th, we received this message from Patrick D.:
“I lost a Gopro black while surfing at Porthtowan Cornwall UK. it came out of the mount and snapped the tether. There’s was footage of me and my brother surfing on the camera and some footage traveling down the road in the van.
If you found it, feel free to contact us using this form. We’ll pass the message.
Sir Richard Branson is looking for a LostGoPro… But he didn’t contact us… He should have as we are running THE place to announce Lost or Found GoPro Cameras! 🙂
So we are repairing “his mistake”! 😉 (if you read this Sir Branson, please accept my sincere apologies)
Here’s the story: (http://www.psfk.com/2013/10/richard-branson-lost-camera.html)
Filmmaker Chis Jupe was at Richard Branson’s estate in Oxfordshire last weekend and was using a GoPro camera tied to a pair of balloons to take aerial shots during a garden party that Branson was having for Virgin Train staff.
Unfortunately, the fishing line he used to secure the balloons snapped and they, along with said camera, went flying off towards Newcastle. Well, that’s according to Branson’s post on his blog.
Branson has asked his 3.5 million plus Twitter followers to try to find the balloons. He wrote, ‘So let’s try a social media experiment – if you spot the balloons then tweet @ChrisJupeUK.’
This isn’t the first time Branson has called on folks to try to find a lost balloon and there’s no word yet on any sightings of the escaped GoPro camera, but it would be fun to see if it turns up somewhere.
So if you spot it, please tell TheLostGoPro.com first! This would give us great exposure! 😉
We will of course inform Sir Branson that YOU found it.
Wishes you all a good day, hoping to be able to continue to reunite more and more GoPro Cameras with their rightful owners!
